We are looking for an Executive Director to lead our team! This full-time permanent position is located out of the Edmonton office and is responsible for establishing the long-range direction and overall control of the Union’s “operations” in accordance with the policies, strategic direction, and operating budget set out by the Board. The Executive Director ensures the delivery of labour relations services to its membership, fiscal accountability of union finances, and leadership of the HSAA Senior Management team. With exposure to a broad range of activities and projects, this opportunity will support your career development and aspirations!
What You Bring:
You are a motivated, collaborative, values-driven leader with a minimum of ten years’ experience at a senior management or director level. You obtained a university degree specializing in Industrial Relations, Human Resources, Business, or related degree. Your experience in the labour relations field and your union education are assets which will set you up for success in your new and challenging career path. Equivalencies may be considered.
As the leader of our operations team, your aptitude for creating an engaging and collaborative work environment will allow you to successfully guide your team in meeting the Union’s strategic goals and objectives. You are strategic in your approach and adept at leading multi-disciplinary teams to support efficient operations. Your high standard of accountability supports your ability to establish the union’s credibility with internal and external stakeholders. You have a thorough understanding of and commitment to trade union philosophy and public healthcare.
