HSAA stands in solidarity with postal workers

The Health Sciences Association of Alberta (HSAA) stands in solidarity with thousands of postal workers who were ordered back to work earlier this week following a month of rotating strikes.

Together with our affiliate unions, who are members of the National Union of Public and General Employees (NUPGE), we have offered the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) an interest-free loan should they request it to further their actions.

HSAA President Mike Parker says, “The actions of the federal government are an attack on the constitutional right of unionized workers to withdraw their services in support of achieving a collective agreement. We will stand shoulder-to-shoulder with these workers in their struggles.”
