Brothers and Sisters,
We are calling on all of you to come to the aid of one of our brothers in his family’s time of trial.
As you are no doubt aware, the aunt and uncle of our brother CUPE Local 30 member Mike McCann have been missing since July 3, 2010 when they set out to join family members on a camping trip. Lyle and Marie never turned up at the appointed rendezvous point. Their children and the authorities have been investigating their disappearance and searching for them ever since.
The family has established a trust fund to help intensify and expand the search for Lyle and Marie. CUPE Local 30 is asking all our brothers and sisters to show solidarity and help us collect donations to be contributed to the trust fund as a whole, on behalf of all unions in greater Edmonton.
Please ask your members to send or drop off their donations to CUPE Local 30 at the address to the left of this message. Cheques should be made out to "Bret McCann In Trust". The pool of collected money will then be delivered to the family in St. Albert for deposit to their trust fund.
