Medical laboratory professionals are a group of four professions that collect, test, analyze and interpret results on samples of tissue or fluid. They work in hospitals, private laboratories, universities, research facilities and public health laboratories.
Doctors rely on the lab testing done by medical laboratory professionals to help them determine the best course of action for their patient's health. Results that are generated in the lab support up to 85% of all medical decisions related to diagnosis and treatment.
HSAA rolls out 2010 Imaging Campaign
EDMONTON - HSAA's 2010 public awareness campaign is well underway in cities and towns across Alberta.
Titled "We're there for you!", this year's campaign includes television commercials, both closed captioning and full 30-second spots, running during various programming in Edmonton and Calgary on Global and CBC television stations, both of whose broadcasting signals blanket the province.
The campaign is also being seen by Albertans in markets from Medicine Hat to Grande Prairie on bill boards, bus shelters, LRT Trains and station platform advertising, in medical clinic and hospital waiting room TVs and on patient bed-side cable TV, as well as a lobby elevator in Foothills Hospital in Calgary.
Albertans surfing Global and CBC news online will also be able to view the on-line advertisement. The campaign will run predominantly throughout the month of November.
