EMS Transition Campaign - February to March 2009
HSAA launched a provincial EMS imaging campaign in February 2009, as the provincial government prepared to take over responsibility for a majority of Alberta's EMS services.
The objective of this important advertising campaign, which included billboards and buses across the province, was to raise the profile of the close to 1,000 EMS members that HSAA currently represents, the important role they play in our health-care system and the industry-leading collective agreements Health Sciences' members enjoy.
EMS Billboard & Bus Campaign - February to March 2009Photos: Billboard and Bus campaign in Edmonton As we prepare for another round of provincial bargaining, HSAA is raising its public profile through media advertising. During the month of February, billboards and bus shelter ads will appear near hospitals in many communities across Alberta. These billboard images will also appear in closed captioning ads on Global television and on Shaw community cable channels across the province.
We have adopted a common message: that Health Sciences members are a "vital part of your health care team". The ads on Shaw cable community channels will run for three months beginning January 7. The Global TV ads will appear on the morning, noon, and evening news casts during the first three weeks of February.

TELEVISION ADS
The purpose of the Humpty Dumpty advertisements is to raise public awareness of the important role of Health Sciences disciplines in our health care system.
In the last couple of years, the ads have been broadcast on television (Global and CTV) across Alberta.
The ads are currently broadcast on Health Unlimited Television (HUTV), a health information service available in the waiting rooms of hospitals and medical clinics across Alberta as well as bedside televisions in hospitals.
HSAA will use the ads in future campaigns to raise awareness of the importance of Health Sciences workers.
