The Health Sciences Association of Alberta (HSAA), a labour union, representing close to 22,000 paramedical technical, professional and general support employees in more than 240 disciplines in the public and private health care sectors of Alberta is seeking two senior staff positions:
ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR – CALGARY (Job # 1208)
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Associate Director is one of three senior staff positions in the HSAA. As a member of the senior management team this position is responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating labour relations and administrative services required by the membership.
We are seeking a team player with a university degree in a related discipline who has a minimum of five or more years’ experience working in a unionized environment.
CONTROLLER – EDMONTON (Job # 1207)
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Controller is the most senior finance and accounting resource in HSAA, responsible for all accounting practices; the maintenance of its fiscal records; and the preparation and interpretation of its financial reports and related management information and, for managing outside IT resources.
A formal accounting designation (and/or working towards a designation) along with a minimum of five or more years proven managerial and administration experience and knowledge/ practical application of IT Systems is required.
