Public Interest Alberta is excited to announce this year's advocacy conference,
Worth Fighting For: Public Solutions and Our Common Future.
At a time when Albertan communities are threatened by cuts to essential services, this conference will provide a forum for sharing perspectives, forging solutions, and strengthening our commitment to advocacy and positive change.
Keynote speaker David Korten, author of When Corporations Rule the World and Agenda for a New Economy (
www.davidkorten.org), as well as several other guest speakers including Natalie Mehra of the Ontario Health Coalition, Alex Molnar, an expert on the commercialization of public education, and Ricardo Acuna, Executive Director of the Parkland Institute in Edmonton.

The 2010 Prairie School for Union Women is scheduled to take place June 13-17 in the beautiful lake-side village of Waskesiu, Sask. HSAA will send four members this year, expenses covered. Members will be selected on a first come, first served basis.
