HSAA members are eligible to use the Labour Relations Fund to help cover the costs of courses, schools and events put on by HSAA affiliates and social partners: district labour councils, the Alberta Federation of Labour (AFL), Canadian Labour Congress (CLC), the National Union (NUPGE), Public Interest Alberta (PIA), Parkland Institute, and more.

HSAA will often sponsor members to attend affiliate courses, schools and events. Sponsoring will include wage replacement and travel expense. For example, HSAA sponsors two members-at-large to attend the AFL mid-term Forum. To apply for sponsorship, please contact Nancy Beattie in the HSAA Edmonton office.
