AUPE - Grandparents' Day BBQ

Once again, AUPE's Women's Committee is hosting their annual Grandparents' Day BBQ at the Legislature Grounds (Band Shell) on September 9, 2010 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The intent of this event is to bring awareness to the inadequate funding to Long Term Care facilities in Alberta, as well as health care cuts that directly affect seniors.

Last year this event happened to coincide with HSAA's Board meeting so Board members and staff attended.

AUPE has extended an invitation to HSAA, once again, so if you are available that day please head on down to the legislature grounds for a hotdog/hamburger and drink and show your support for Alberta Seniors.
